Baking soda and Lemon Water Reaction




This video describes how baking soda react with lemon water. You will need baking soda, bowl of water and bowel of lemon juice.


Lemon - Baking soda Reaction:                                                                                                                            When the lemon juice (citric acid ) contact with the baking soda ( carbonate ) a chemical reaction took place, creating carbon dioxide gas. As you know, carbon dioxide is the same gas that is added to the sodas to give their fizz.


                   3NaHCO3 + C6H8O7 ———> Na3C6H5O7 + 3H2O + 3CO2
